Client: Keller Pty Ltd
Job: Newcastle construction site
Investment: Half day shoot
Client Brief
Capture location in its entirety to show size and scale of the work Keller undertook. Detailed photos on the application being used, including any process photos.
Shooting from both the ground and from the air where possible.
Photographing staff at work operating plant machinery and involved in the manual labour of the job on the ground. Ensuring all PPE is in place, safe working behaviour and boundaries are evident, and the staff are happy and engaged in the images showing a supported working environment.
The Shoot
After the site induction, and then scoping the location along with planned works of the day I was free to start work. Shooting began on the ground following key workers across the process of their jobs to capture the work happening. Ensuring they were in the best light possible, using portable flash to balance and add light. Timing gaps in the workflow to capture location portraits of the staff to be used as hero images for the business. Moving to aerial work, once again scouting the location to identify the best angles that show the overall size and scope of the work as well as closeup shots of the plant machinery and the technical work being carried out.
Delivery of shoot
120 high resolution images in a secure gallery. All images are colour/contrast balanced and prepared for any digital or print usage. The image mix was of project and application, plant and machinery, people at work, hero portraits and aerial images.
